Robert Mueller is now looking at the Trump Justice Department.

Courtesy of ABC News:

Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team investigating whether President Donald Trump sought to obstruct a federal inquiry into connections between his presidential campaign and Russian operatives has now directed the Justice Department to turn over a broad array of documents, ABC News has learned.

In particular, Mueller's investigators are keen to obtain emails related to the firing of FBI Director James Comey and the earlier decision of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to recuse himself from the entire matter, according to a source who has not seen the specific request but was told about it.

Issued within the past month, the directive marks the special counsel's first records request to the Justice Department, and it means Mueller is now demanding documents from the department overseeing his investigation.

Mueller's investigators now seek not only communications between Justice Department officials themselves, but also any communications with White House counterparts, the source said. Before this request, investigators asked former senior Justice Department officials for information from their time at the department, ABC News was told.

The latest move suggests the Special Counsel is still actively digging into, among other matters, whether Trump or any other administration official improperly tried to influence an ongoing investigation.

Robert Mueller seems to be cutting pretty close to the bone here.

I would be very surprised if there were not incriminating emails somewhere in the Justice Department that Jeff Sessions and Donald Trump are desperate to keep out of Robert Mueller's hands.

I can almost guarantee that there will be a lack of cooperation which will tip Mueller off as to where to focus next.

Popcorn anyone?

Poor Ivanka and her hero hubby. Mueller is a grinch. All they want is a little hands on 24/7 family time at the White House and around the world.

Jared can be a hero if he helps his wife deal with the photos with her father and what went on off camera.

Ivanka said Donald was not a father when his children were growing up. He did support them but he did not have much quality time with them. Ivana was the one to raise them.

Donald did seem to favor his daughter. They posed for many photos the times they were together. He also helped her with plastic surgery and to be a model. As she grew older he bragged about how he thought his work paid off and how attractive she is to him.

Jared keeps many family secrets. He needs to stop this family poisoning. He must help Ivanka stop her complicity. Be a hero Jared.

"When you look into the rest of Ivanka Trump's history in business, the story repeats itself over and over again. The company has licensed the Trump name in places known for networks of money launderers. As the anti-corruption watchdog Global Witness reported, "the result is that Trump’s current wealth has depended in part on securing significant infusions of untraceable foreign funds.”
It's very difficult to believe that the Trumps didn't know that they were involved in these massive corruption schemes. The evidence was right in front of their eyes. Now that evidence is right in front of an investigative team that has a mandate to go wherever the evidence takes them, Ivanka Trump is as legally vulnerable as her husband and the rest of her family."

Net worth is a subjective “feeling,” Trump said in a 2006 deposition when he sued author Timothy O’Brien, who wrote Trump Nation, a book that was critical of him. “My net worth fluctuates, and it goes up and down with markets and with attitudes and with feelings, even my own feelings,”"

FCC Votes for Massive Corporate Giveaway at Expense of Consumers

Today, the Federal Communications Commission voted to eliminate four decades of protections against rampant media consolidation, despite already low numbers of local and diverse voices. In addition to removing limitations on the cross-ownership of newspapers, radio and TV stations in the same market, the FCC also voted for changes that would prevent millions from accessing the Lifeline program, the nation's only program to bring phone and Internet services within reach for millions of low income Americans. By barring non-facilities based providers from offering Lifeline, nearly 70 percent of families in need are in jeopardy of losing service.

    An Indelible Stain

No matter what happens from here on out, it feels the damage is done. We are witness to an era in which our nation has elected a man so totally unqualified to be president that it boggles the mind. Part of me feels bad for Donald Trump. It is clear that he is in so far over his head that he doesn’t know which way to turn. The man can’t put two sentences together. One wonders if there isn’t something seriously wrong that is impacting his intellect. Watching old footage of The Donald from 30 years ago, it instantly becomes clear that he was once much more articulate and coherent than he is now. Whatever the case, it’s become a national embarrassment whenever he speaks into a microphone or, God help us, takes to his Twitter account. It’s been great fodder for comedians and late night talk shows but, comedy relief aside, it’s anything but funny. Everything has changed. Mr. Trump has left an indelible stain on our national image, the world is watching and history will judge us harshly for our sins.

Make Nepotism Great Again: 20 Families Got Jobs in Trump Administration

Rudy Giuliani’s son, Seb Gorka’s wife, Eric Trump’s brother-in-law. Multiple members of the same families hold positions of power.

Most people have heard of Ivanka and Jared, but the first family is far from the only group of relatives staffing the Trump administration.

A Daily Beast examination of public records reveals that there are at least 20 families, joined by either blood or marriage, in which multiple members hold some federal post or appointment. They include the families of some of Trump’s most prominent campaign supporters and agency officials, including one cabinet officer. The posts range from senior White House staff to more ceremonial and advisory positions.

Sources: McMaster Mocked Trump’s Intelligence At A Private Dinner
At dinner at a lobbying hotspot with a powerful tech CEO, the national security adviser said the president has the intelligence of a “kindergartner,” according to sources. Oracle and the Trump administration deny the comments.

...But these new details reveal that the subject matter of McMaster’s dinner with Catz, which sources tell BuzzFeed News took place on July 18 at the Washington, DC, restaurant Tosca, ranged far from geopolitics. Indeed, three of the sources said that McMaster disparaged multiple members of the administration to Catz, including Tillerson, Secretary of Defense James Mattis, former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, and President Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner. Of Kushner, one source told BuzzFeed News, McMaster said he had no business being in the White House and should not be involved in national security issues.

“[Catz] said the conversation was so inappropriate that it was jaw-dropping,” another source told BuzzFeed News.

A CNN panel led by host John King on Monday laid out all the evidence that Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner is in deep trouble when it comes to the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

“Jared Kushner is like an octopus in the sense that his tentacles seem to be everywhere,” King began. “He was at the so-called June 2016 meeting, he had a meeting with Ambassador Kislyak, there’s this alleged contact with WikiLeaks. His tentacles are everywhere, his lawyer says it’s much ado about nothing.

King went on to make the case that the continued new revelations about what Kushner did during the 2016 presidential campaign are particularly troubling because Kushner has had ample time to fully explain his actions.

“He keeps popping up and we keep learning about things that, if he wanted to, months ago, Jared Kushner could have had a news conference, could have had a so-called Friday night document dump,” King said. “But yet, we keep learning about things drip, drip, drip.”

Later in the panel, King laid out all of the misstatements and omissions that Kushner has made since being appointed a White House adviser.

Trump Hasn’t Fired Mueller Yet Because His Lawyer Is Blowing Sunshine

...A source close to the administration tells the Post that Mueller is running “a classic Gambino-style roll-up” that “will reach everyone in this administration.” When you read histories of the more successful presidential administrations in American history, a phrase you don’t usually come across is “Gambino-style roll-up.”

However, in the face of this mounting evidence and the warnings of some allies, Trump has remained — by Trump’s standards — fairly calm. Obviously, by the standards of a normal president, he is acting like a complete lunatic. But given Trump’s patterns of spewing indiscriminate rage and abuse and lashing out at his enemies in wildly counterproductive fashion, he has conducted himself with notable restraint. Despite his barely concealed impulses, Trump has refrained from mass pardons or attempting to fire Mueller.

The apparent reason for his serenity is that his lawyer, Ty Cobb, has placated Trump with promises that Mueller’s probe would be over soon. “The president himself, however, has warmed to Cobb’s optimistic message on Mueller’s probe. Cobb had initially said he hoped the focus on the White House would conclude by Thanksgiving,” the Post reports.

Thanksgiving. It will all be over by Thanksgiving.

By this point, three days before Thanksgiving, it should be relatively clear Mueller’s work is not going to be completed before the turkey is served. The Post notes that Cobb “adjusted the timeline slightly in an interview last week, saying he remains optimistic that it will wrap up by the end of the year, if not shortly thereafter.”

I think Bob Mueller is well aware that he could be fired at almost any time, especially given the recent speculation that Jeff Sessions may be called upon to run as a write-in for his old senate seat. Mindful of the sudden and reckless firing of Comey, I think Mueller has known this might also happen to him right from the beginning. I wouldn't be at all surprised if, as a result, Mueller went straight for the top from day one and already has obtained a sealed indictment of Trump. Anyone with half a brain can see that Trump has been engaged in money laundering, fraud, racketeering, and various sex crimes up to and possibly including rape for many years, long before he was elected. When he falls, and he IS going to fall, it will be one of the sweetest days in American history.
