Sean Spicer kept copious notes?

Courtesy of Axios:

When Spicer worked at the RNC, he was said to have filled black books emblazoned with the party's seal. Spicer was so well-known for his copious notes that underlings joked about him writing a tell-all.

One source familiar with the matter said that the records were just to help him do his job.

"Sean documented everything," the source said.

That surprised some officials of previous White Houses, who said that because of past investigations, they intentionally took as few notes as possible when they worked in the West Wing.

When we texted Spicer for comment on his note-taking practices, he replied: "Mike, please stop texting/emailing me unsolicited anymore."

When I replied with a "?" (I have known Spicer and his wife for more than a dozen years), he answered: "Not sure what that means. From a legal standpoint I want to be clear: Do not email or text me again. Should you do again I will report to the appropriate authorities."

Well that's an awfully defensive response.

Kind of makes one think that Spicer has already been legally required to hand those notebooks over, and is not allowed to discuss it.

Yes in case you are wondering Spicer is indeed one of the people identified as on Mueller's list of folks he wants to interview.

One White House official said that people are going to wish they had been much nicer to Sean Spicer because he was at a whole lot of meetings.

Methinks that Donald Trump might be one of those who will regret how he treated Spicer.

Come clean, Sean, and all will be forgiven.
You owe it to your country.

There is NO way this little weasel did not know that he was lying his azz off. He may not be a loyalist or signer of the trump disclosure but he damn well knew what he was doing or he is a complete moron and should never hold another important position again ever.

Sean alone caused damage to Americans by his repeated lies on national tv. He outright lied to americans routinely. He enabled a crime in progress and he is deceitful and aided the enemy. Americans were injured by his actions.

And who would be the "appropriate authorities" for reporting this request? I wonder what Spicer thinks would then happen.

I'm sure Sarah Schmuckabee and Kellyspam and Hope Hickey would all claim they 'never lied to the American people" too. Trump would say the same thing, and he lies a hundred times a day. I hope Mueller takes this whole criminal gang to the cleaners.

"The most direct and glaring CLUE of all, though, is that Trump has said HE doesn’t read."
"Remember how Trump chided Obama for reading from a teleprompter all the time? What if it had nothing to do with Obama’s lack authenticity, but Trump was jealous of Obama’s reading skills the whole time?

He probably went home thinking “Look at that uppity negro with his fancy-schmancy word machine, showing off reading words as they move, acting all literate and shit.
    I HATE him.”"
DID dRUMPf think $picey was doodling?

Tweet Tweet "rump gave investigators more information that brought them closer to potential criminal charges."
"These are not the tweets of an innocent man. Donald Trump is trying to blame Facebook for Russia’s election interference while changing the subject to Hillary Clinton and the media. The distractions and excuses are techniques that are used by guilty people who are trying to deflect attention from their own crimes."

      1st tweet was this>
rump used Twitter to respond in kind, tweeting, “Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn’t mind starving or killing his people, WILL BE tested like never before!”

@7:37>“Trump has denied the existence of and insulted me and my country in front of the eyes of the world and made the most ferocious declaration of a WAR in history,”
      "
“He had to respond in kind, launching the same kind of verbal bombs.”
Analysts said that by putting his reputation on the line with his statement, Mr. Kim was now far more unlikely to stand down. Instead, his government would use the escalating standoff as an excuse to conduct MORE nuclear and missile tests"

“Trump shot himself in the foot with his unabashedly undiplomatic United Nations General Assembly speech,” said Lee Sung-yoon, a Korea expert at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. “By threatening to totally destroy North Korea, he created the impression around the world that it is actually the United States — instead of North Korea — that’s motivated by aggression. In effect, Trump gave Kim Jong-un a freebie for another major provocation. Kim will oblige, and claim that it was in ‘self-defense’ against Trump’s unnerving threats.”
      THEN CUBA 1962>NOW>
“We are in a cycle of escalation that leads to a very bad end,” It has been 37 years since any nation tested a nuclear weapon in the planet’s atmosphere, reflecting the nearly universal opposition to such tests over fears of the effects of radioactive fallout on human health and the environment."
      as if moving on steppingstones>
"Analysts said North Korea had been escalating tensions in stages in what they called a “salami tactic,” as in slice by slice."

" On Thursday, Mr. Trump issued an executive order empowering his government to punish international banks and other entities that trade with North Korea." $$$

  13. When I taught I became the Queen of Documentation. I did notes during classes and then fleshed them out at lunch or after school. In some cases a page a day, documenting certain student behavior and conversations. That way when the inevitable referral, conference with counselor and then parent conference was scheduled, I had my notes of specific behaviors and dates. To counter the "like what?" response or "give me an example" or just plain "you're lying."

    I documented the administration too.

    I still do.

If you are ever called to testify to a car accident or something you witnessed, if you keep a diary that is evidence and holds much more weight than someone else's verbal testimony as to what they remember.

I tried several times in my youth to keep a daily diary and never could. But I learned.

Now with the internet I have a private blog I use as an electronic diary. Even if it's just what I ate and watched on TV that day, I fill it out every day. Should I miss a day, I go back. If I'm traveling, I keep notes on paper and then do the entries from my notes.

If Spicer kept copious notes, then Trump has plenty to fear. If it was known Spicer was a document Tsar, then Trump was really stupid to hire him and put him in a position to be a party to anything sensitive to the administration.

You watch. Spicer will roll. They treated him like shit and he has every reason to try to raise his name out of the gutter and repair his professional reputation.

I'm glad you included the full quotes. What I read yesterday on a liberal leaning site excluded the part about "Mike, please," and the reference to legal requirements.

That made Spicey's comments seem totally out of place with a friend.

I don't see a problem with what he said. He basically said. Hey, we're friends, but I got legal issues to consider and can't talk with you about it.

I think what Trump did to Spicer at the Vatican was beyond bad. Even for Trump. Being spiteful to the one guy who has literally put himself out there for him. Just for the sake of being spiteful.

Good on the Pope, who can't stand Trump, for giving Spice a personal visit after all. A total F-U to Trump in return. (Do popes say F-U?)
