For any of those still telling themselves that the marchers in Charlottesville were not White Supremacists there to incite violence, you should take a moment to watch this amazing footage from the folks at Vice, who were there since the beginning.

(Warning some of the language in this video is NSFW.)

Courtesy of Mother Jones:

A 22-minute documentary released Monday on HBO’s Vice News Tonight offers a chilling look behind the battle lines in Charlottesville, Virginia, last weekend, with a reporter who embedded with some of the white supremacists who engaged in the violence that ended in the death of one counter-protester and two state troopers. The video has already received nearly 7 million views in the last 17 hours on Facebook.

“Charlottesville: Race and Terror,” follows Christopher Cantwell, an unabashed white supremacist who spews racist invective while traveling around with a band of neo-Nazis. Cantwell is a prominent “alt-right” shock jock who came to Charlottesville to speak at the “United the Right” rally. In the documentary, Cantwell and a posse of assorted white supremacists speak forcefully about the warped theories underpinning what they consider to be an impending and inevitable race war.

Yesterday Donald Trump attempted to excuse the behavior of these people, and to suggest that the media was not being "fair" to them.

And they are now showing their appreciation for that.

Courtesy of TPM:

White supremacist leader Richard Spencer asserted Monday that President Donald Trump wasn’t being “serious” when he denounced hate groups by name, two days after blaming “many sides” for violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“The statement today was more kumbaya nonsense,” Spencer said at a press conference. “You can say racism is evil; we should all love one another; the sun should always shine, seven days a week; everyone should be above average; everyone should be a wonderful athlete; everyone should love each other. It’s just silliness.”

“It’s not serious, and I don’t think anyone takes it seriously, including the President,” he added.

That attitude has emboldened these groups to plan even more White Supremacist marches.

And while making those plans they are aggressively going after their perceived enemies.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Logan Smith, the 30-year-old man behind the @YesYoureRacist Twitter account, has been receiving death threats for his work exposing the identities of people who attended the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville this past weekend.

“I have been receiving death threats for the past 20 hours or so,” Smith, 30, said in a phone interview. “They have been threatening my family, too. The overall response of course has been 99 percent positive, but there’s always that extremely small but extremely loud and extremely angry minority that bites back… There’s a lot of them – and they are mad.”

“These people aren’t afraid anymore,” he said. “They’re not hiding behind their hoods like they did before the civil rights era. They are out and proud. I think if they are so proud of their beliefs and proud to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with neo-Nazis and KKK members and white supremacists of all stripes, then I think their communities need to know who they are.”

It has been pointed out by a number of commentators that while these folks seem upset that folks like Logan Smith are working to identify them by name, they are the ones who feel emboldened enough to march around without their hoods.

So what did they expect?

And soon they will all get the recognition they deserve, because Illinois just passed a measure identifying the Neo-Nazis as a terrorist organization, and I have a feeling that other states may soon follow suit.

Will things get worse before they get better?

Oh yeah.

But ultimately things WILL get better.

I think.

Update: So remember that guy talking all tough in the interview with Vice?

Yeah, well that guy is now freaked out that he might be arrested.

This is what these guys look like when they are called out on their shit.

    2. What a whiney little bitch. He has all of his guns and he's crying because he can't legally force this country to be a Nazi Fascist state?

This is the same blustering shithead that stated that Heather Heyer was asking for it and her murder was justified.

Oh, he's terrified he's going to die? He doesn't want to be a martyr to the cause?

Does anyone believe this asshole is cool as a cucumber when he has his penis extender on his body? He's only scared shitless when he's unarmed? What a fucking coward.

I hope the entire internet is calling his number. Bet he's ditched that phone already.

      Pissy little whiner.

I thought I read somewhere that Sessions has stopped investigating/monitoring these groups and no longer is considering them hate/terrorist groups.

So not only do we have a president that condones their terrorist behavior but the justice dept is also turning a blind eye.

Who need ISIS when we have these domestic terrorists killing Americans and doing all the work for them.

One item I have not seen discussed ....

The driver of the car that killed Heather Hayer was accused of domestic violence by his own mother.

Supposedly he spit on her and threatened her with a knife.

What is absolutely SICK about this .. his mother is paralyzed and is in a wheel chair.

    What a sick fucking asshole.

I am near speechless after watching Cantwell's video. Is he an example of Trump's nice guys because they got a permit, filed paperwork? Why is he wanted by police?

Yes. Trump is pretending he never heard of David Duke. He knows the 'have permits', co-ordinating with the police etc. If he doesn't know, Bannon does and tells him. This race war talk has been going on for years. They are more organized now and they have better communication. Also there are more of them. Part of staging these events is to attract more people to join them.

"Group co-founder Christian Piccolini told Bee in a recently released clip (above) that they had received a $400,000 grant from the Obama administration, but that grant was taken away two weeks into Donald Trump’s presidency. They are now crowdsourcing funds to continue their work."
"Jo Miller, executive producer and showrunner of “Full Frontal,” said spreading the word about Life After Hate’s message also gives people a way to channel their energy if they are not sure what to do after seeing the violence in Charlottesville."
"“He was someone who was involved in a white supremacy organization, was having doubts, didn’t know what to do,” she said. “He remained in the organization. He was kind of on the fringes of the organization but still generally participating. He didn’t know where to go. He didn’t know how to get out of that life. His entire life was invested in the group. In a cultish way, his entire identity was wrapped up in belonging to this group.”"

This guy was armed to the teeth, gleeful about the death of Heather Heyer, said that he himself was ready to kill, that it's no big deal for people to die.......and then he's in tears and peeing his pants because there might be a warrant out for his arrest? This is just bizarre. They all need to be rounded up and mentally evaluated, maybe spend the rest of their lives in a place with rubber walls and nothing more deadly than the plastic spoon that they eat their pudding with.

    4. Exactly. These people are mentally damaged. They are a danger to others. If they are allowed to roam free with weapons, more are going to die. It won't be a car the next time. They will hold formations, take out their weapons and start shooting people. They'll claim they were defending themselves but there will be video.

They are simply bat shit crazy. They have lost touch with reality. The view of the world is completely skewed.

They need to be locked up and evaluated very slowly by professionals that treat the mentally incompetent.

    FB."We shall overcome...
    We'll walk hand in hand...
    We are not afraid...
    Someday...today!
In these troubled times, do not overlook the power of song to rally the spirits and channel anger and despair into action.
For some of my younger readers, the Civil Rights anthem "We Shall Overcome" may have become the background music for school lessons and archival images frozen in the black and white of yesteryear.
But for those of us alive at the time, particularly those who witnessed the marches and protests first hand, this marriage of harmony and lyrics which the Library of Congress calls "the most powerful song of the 20th century" will forever be etched in the record players of our minds. These were not simply words. They were a courageous challenge to a system of hate and injustice.
The first time I heard "We Shall Overcome" was in a small black church in Albany, Georgia in 1961. A young Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had come to lead an early effort in the Movement that would prove largely unsuccessful and force him and his compatriots in the cause to rethink their strategy. But there was no denying the power of that moment of song with Dr. King in attendance.
I have since heard it too many times to count - including an attempt to play it on a trumpet over exuberant crowds as communism fell in Czechoslovakia.
Back in the 1960s "We Shall Overcome" was mostly sung acapella - backed by a mighty orchestra of justice. It is hard to remember now just how many of the voices who lifted the song to the heavens were at the time so marginalized by society that their quest for a fairer and more equitable America seemed utterly quixotic. But there is something about "We'll walk hand in hand ... We shall live in peace...We shall all be free...and We are not afraid" (not someday, but TODAY) that can channel an earthquake of improbable change.
There is no shortage of versions and lyrics for this song - many can be found online. I am sharing one from the Morehouse College Glee Club that I found particularly affecting. Take a listen and you may feel better. Isn't there something special about young, beautiful voices building a ladder of fierce and determined hope atop the pain of the past?
I shared many of these words last December but they seem even more resonant today."

"PayPal’s significant role in raising money to organize the “Unite the Right” event goes against the company’s Acceptable Use Policy that explicitly bans “the promotion of hate, violence, [and] racial intolerance.” However, many of the group’s leaders utilized personal accounts or circumvented this policy in several ways."Online merchandise retailer Patriotic Flags, which is run by Kyle Rogers of the Council of Conservative Citizens, uses PayPal as its primary means of processing payments. The group offered several pieces of “Unite the Right” memorabilia items for Charlottesville attendees, including neo-Confederate jackets and flags of Rhodesia – a symbol touted by Columbia, S.C. mass murderer Dylann Roof."

  14. Did anyone pick up that David Duke said "ethnic cleansing"?

Yeah, they think THEY are the ones being cleansed.

No, they did not bring "leftists" in from all over. Those were locals.

The police did NOT do their jobs.

The National Guard should have been there.

    Absolutely. These are NAZIS.

Listening to some of them speak, I am surprised they are not committed to a mental facility for testing because they are outright crazy. They are delusional. They have severe mental problems.

As long as that Orange Anus is in the White House, we are going to see more and more of these gatherings and people are going to DIE.

Wherever the next one is, there better be National Guard all over because the local police are incapable of keeping order or protecting life. That one policeman looked scared shitless and clueless as to what to do.

America is very ill right now. We are in critical condition.
The pus that is hate has festered, and Donald the divider has opened the wound with his many, many words.
Now, it is up to us people of this great country to come forward and heal this wound. Don't let it kill our democracy.
