Trump's son-in-law is scheduled to face questions by the Senate Intelligence Committee. Ruh Roh!

Remember to come to my room tonight and tell me stories about having sex with my daughter. I love those!
Courtesy of Philly.com:

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Trump, will be questioned by the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of the panel's investigation into Russia’s interference during the 2016 election.

"Mr. Kushner has volunteered to be interviewed as part of the committee's investigation into the Russian activities surrounding the 2016 election," senators Richard Burr (R, N.C.) and Mark Warner (D, Va.), the committee's chairman and vice chairman, told the New York Times in a statement.

According to the Times, the questions for Kushner will focus on two meetings he had with Russian agents in December, prior to his father-in-law's inauguration as president.

The first took place with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak alongside ousted national security adviser Michael Flynn at Trump Tower.

The second was a previously undisclosed meeting between Kushner and Sergey Gorkov, the head of Russia’s state-owned Vnesheconombank, which has been under sanctions since the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

Apparently the White House had failed to mention that second meeting, but don't worry because the White House spokesperson said that the meeting "went nowhere" and is certainly not something that anybody needs to probe into more deeply.

Seriously, stop looking!

Here is my prediction of what is going to happen during this questioning.

Kushner is going to lie.

And if he gets caught lying, he is going to lie again.

I know this like I know that Donald Trump has not seen his penis without the help of a series of mirrors for several years now.

This is what these people do, and so the only questions remaining are what will the Senate Intelligence Committee do about it when they discover the lie? And how will that affect Kushner's new job as the head of a "fix the government" SWAT team?

The conversation was similar to this

Sergey Gorkov: "Jared, tell Donald the deal is still on. If he gets sanctions lifted and breaks up NATO, you will get 5% of Rosneft's stock and all loans to Donald will be paid off in full. Do you need our help to hack the voting machines?"

Jared: "The GOP has voting machine hack covered already. Donald wants 9% of Rosneft stock since he has many family members to take care of. He would also like a vile of VX to silence a few people that may want to talk."

Sergey Gorkov: Steve Bannon will get the VX next week. 9% is OK. Have a good day."

  2. Nothing is going to happen to anyone in the Trump administration as far as this Russian debacle is concerned. Nothing.

Nunes in the house has destroyed the intel committee through his insane deer in the headlight posturing and lying for Trump. Paul Ryan has said that Nunes is credible and he trusts him. Of course Ryan is a know nothing shill just sending out idiocy to make people think he is a wonk. But he is the Chance Gardener of politics.

The senate in the form of fake ass Graham and McCain will ultimately do nothing as they are the Lucy to the democrat's Charlie Brown.

Trump will use Faux to blame Hilary and Obama for a litany of insane stories and as usual Trump will take responsibility for nothing---because he keeps a bus in the Oval office so its handy to throw everyone under it as needed.

I watch as the fall of this country is being perpetuated by a man who isn't even mediocre and a GOP who has not one clue what patriotism is or what to do to govern a country.

Stop making assumptions. Just because his father-in-law lies doesn't mean he does. Everyone knows that how ethical one is, and ones integrity or lack there of, are nurtured primary by ones parents. So let's look at Jared's dad. Real estate developer, so he's a chip off the old block. What else? Convicted felon for illegal campaign contributions, tax evasion and witness tampering. I'm, look over there, shiny object!

Devin Nunes Cancels House Intelligence Committee Meetings Amid Growing Questions

The chairman is in hot water.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) on Tuesday abruptly canceled all House Intelligence Committee meetings scheduled for this week, according to committee members, raising further questions on whether its investigation into ties between President Donald Trump’s administration and Russia can proceed.

“Not only [has] this investigation sort of had a shadow cast on it, but the committee has been put into suspended animation,” committee member Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) said on MSNBC, confirming previous reports that Nunes, the committee chair, had canceled the meetings.

The move comes amid growing scrutiny over whether Nunes can lead an independent investigation into ties between Trump’s team and Russian officials.

Seems the reason Nunes doesn't have the intel is because he never had it. Many in WH are angry that he dragged WH into a foolish plan.

While those around him want to find a way to refocus Russia talk on illegal leaks, a reckless POTUS is ready to throw *any* distraction.

    https://twitter.com/RoguePOTUSStaff/status/846714936055214080

Nunes appears to have created a plan for him to tell public he'd found intel supported POTUS claims. The meeting was to tell POTUS his plan.

    https://twitter.com/RoguePOTUSStaff/status/846722335675703296

Looks like Nunes never briefed POTUS on intel in the first place. It was all stunt Nunes dreamed up to create an appearance.

Kushner and Trump: Taped At Secret Trump Tower Meetings With Russians?

On March 3rd, Donald Trump made a series of tweets. Three were about a wiretap at Trump Tower. Two, however, were about Jeff Sessions meeting the Russian ambassador. Those tweets got lost in the resulting storm.

Over the past week, Devin Nunes obstructed justice on TV, both announcing that one White House staffer was under investigation and that a transition team member was recorded in a FISA intercept.

As we exclusively reported, that staffer was almost certainly Boris Epshteyn, named by Comey in his first failed FISA application in June.

Also as we exclusively reported, Michael Ellis is suspected of having leaked this material to Nunes.

But what would be so bad that it would cause Nunes to rush to the White House to illegally receive top-secret FISA evidence?

I believe that Jared Kushner is on tape talking to a Russian spy. Worse, I believe that as part of entirely legal and admissible FISA evidence, Donald Trump is also on tape talking to a Russian spy about money laundering.

    Here is my reasoning.

Donald Trump attacks House Intel Committee after realizing Devin Nunes can no longer protect him

Yet another layer of Donald Trump’s insulation from his Russia scandal has been stripped away, and an angry Trump appears to know it tonight. House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes was supposed to act as a failsafe if his committee began investigating Trump. But now Trump has realized that the bumbling Nunes has made things worse not better. And so now Trump is publicly attacking the House Intel Committee in dishonest fashion.

Devin Nunes was given classified intel by someone last Tuesday evening, in inappropriate fashion, which revealed some kind of surveillance of Donald Trump’s transition team with regard to Russia. Nunes improperly delivered the evidence straight to Trump, then told four or five different contrasting versions of his story to the public. He’s made things even worse for Trump, and now there’s mounting pressure for Nunes to recuse himself from the investigation altogether. Of course that would allow the House Intel Committee to pursue an honest investigation into Trump-Russia. Accordingly, Trump has now begun attacking the committee.

Trump’s angry tweet-storm this evening invokes absurd false claims about his election opponent in an attempt at changing the subject: “Why isn’t the House Intelligence Committee looking into the Bill & Hillary deal that allowed big Uranium to go to Russia, Russian speech money to Bill, the Hillary Russian “reset,” praise of Russia by Hillary, or Podesta Russian Company. Trump Russia story is a hoax. #MAGA!”

...Trump is now using fake stories about Hillary in order to attack the House Intel Committee, demonstrating just how deeply backed into a corner he is. He groomed Nunes during the transition period in the hope that doing so would prevent the committee from being able to properly come after him. He’s only doing this now because he knows Nunes is burned and there’s little remaining to protect him.

"The Trump administration sought to block former acting attorney general Sally Yates from testifying to Congress in the House investigation of links between Russian officials and Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, The Washington Post has learned, a position that is likely to further anger Democrats who have accused Republicans of trying to damage the inquiry.

According to letters The Post reviewed, the Justice Department notified Yates earlier this month that the administration considers a great deal of her possible testimony to be barred from discussion in a congressional hearing because the topics are covered by the presidential communication privilege."

    What's that you say?

    Oh yeah:

"As acting attorney general, Yates played a key part in the investigation surrounding Michael T. Flynn, a Trump campaign aide who became national security adviser before revelations that he had discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador to the United States in late December led to his ouster.

Yates and another witness at the planned hearing, former CIA director John Brennan, had made clear to government officials by Thursday that their testimony to the committee probably would contradict some statements that White House officials had made, according to a person familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The following day, when Yates’s lawyer sent a letter to the White House indicating that she still wanted to testify, the hearing was canceled."

"The White House on Tuesday denied that it had attempted to block former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates from testifying in an open hearing of the House Intelligence Committee, as the Washington Post had reported.

That open hearing was cancelled on Friday, the same day Yates’ lawyer sent a letter to White House counsel Don McGahn. In the letter, he notified the White House that certain presidential privileges, which the Justice Department had claimed may prevent Yates from speaking openly, had “been waived as a result of the multiple public comments of current senior White House officials describing” issues that Yates was expected to address during the hearing.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer, in an emailed statement to TPM, called the Post’s story “entirely false.”

“The White House has taken no action to prevent Sally Yates from testifying and the Department of Justice specifically told her that it would not stop her and to suggest otherwise is completely irresponsible,” he continued."

Prolly means there is something there.

Trump Made The Fatal Mistake That Will Bring Him Down When Tried To Stop Sally Yates

The big mistake that proves the White House is engaging in a Russia cover-up came when the President tried to silence Sally Yates.

That hearing that House Intel Chair Devin Nunes so abruptly canceled? It was the hearing during which we were going to hear fired United States Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates testify.

She’s the person who told the White House that Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about his talks with Russia. This testimony would be awkward for the Trump White House, because when Flynn was busted for lying about his talks with Russia weeks after Yates briefed the Trump people, the Trump White House claimed they had no knowledge of Flynn’s talks with the Russians.

But they did, according to Sally Yates. A fact that the public won’t hear about today, due to the canceled hearing.

Yates was going to talk until she was blocked.

But wait. The news this Tuesday morning is that Yates wasn’t going to let that happen. Apparently, she was going to testify despite the attempt to block her, and her lawyers informed the Trump White House of her intentions to do so on March 24th.

And then, on March 24th, the hearing was canceled by Devin Nunes. Nunes, who ran to the White House to supposedly brief President Trump on some “evidence” he found that he won’t share with members of his committee. That happened on the 22nd.

Sally Yates lawyers sent a letter to the Trump White House stating that she intended to testify despite the attempt to block her, according to a letter obtained by NBC.

House Democrat Calls Nunes Meeting on WH Grounds a ‘Cover-Up to a Crime’

“This is done because the White House wanted it to be done. And this is what a cover-up to a crime looks like. We are watching it play out right now.”

California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell spoke with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski this morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe and explained that Rep. Devin Nunes’ meeting on the White House grounds was a “cover-up to a crime.”

Swalwell, a member of the House Intelligence Committee, told the hosts in response to Nunes’ absurd claim “I’m quite sure that I think people in the West Wing had no idea that I was there,” that,

“It’s not an internet cafe. You can’t just walk in and receive classified information. Everyone in the building knows that you’re there in the building.”

I want to know why Jared the Schmuck is being entrusted with revamping the entire federal government. Like his father-in-law, Jared has had very little experience doing anything. He's dabbled in his family's real estate business (sound familiar?), he's dabbled as a newspaper publisher and he's been amazingly cozy with Russian oligarchs and bankers (sound familiar?). He's never held any kind of government position (sound familiar?), never been on any kind of governmental commission (sound familiar?). His claim to fame is solely his marriage to Trump's most beloved of all daughter! Both Jared and Ivanka have highest security clearances without having been vetted by anyone and their names have never been submitted to any Congressional body for approval. So little Jared, whose in up to his neck in the Russian connection scandal, will be reorganizing the federal government, all of it, and privatizing what he wants to. Not only is the US going to end up a Putin puppet but we'll be a banana republic version of one.

We have friends who are deeply Republican (of the "one- has-to-worry-about-the-national-debt" ilk). I am waiting for them to apologize for having voted for Trump. They're not stupid people.
