Republicans promise to bring back the "kind of principled conservative leadership President Bush provided our great nation." Seriously?

Courtesy of Raw Story:

In a fundraising email sent out Tuesday, RNC chief operating officer Sara Armstrong promised Republicans would bring the leadership qualities of President George W. Bush to the Senate if they prevailed in the upcoming Nov. 4 midterm elections.

“President George W. Bush once said, ‘I will live and lead by these principles: to advance my convictions with civility, to pursue the public interest with courage, to speak for greater justice and compassion, to call for responsibility and try to live it as well,’” the email starts.

“That’s what America needs right now: a big dose of leadership. The kind of principled conservative leadership President Bush provided our great nation. And the kind of leadership Republicans will deliver when we win a Senate majority.”

You know I don;t usually like to lend and support to the Republican party, but I have to say that they are really on to something with this.

I will probably lose my Al Gore liberal decoder ring for this, but I think that if the Republicans keep offering to bring us back to the days of the George W. Bush presidency that they will be virtually unstoppable in this elections cycle.

I mean when you think of taking this country in the right direction who DOESN'T think about "W"?

    Ok then.
We promise not to vote for them.
Not that it does us any good, right Diebold?

What the gop is looking for is another low I.Q. puppet, to finish off the country. Cheney was well on his way to completely bankrupting the country with endless wars for "awl" and $$$. $carah should have been the next in line, she fills the bill admirably. Can't form a complete sentence, has no scruples, in it for the money, lousy drunken family of misfits and baby makers. Lies with absolutely no hesitation. What's not to love about THAT?? The gop must think we have terrible recollections of the damage done by the draft dodger in chief who smirked his way onto the WH by fraud and the help of the Not-So-Supremes.

Oh good god! Are they REALLY that desperate? The loons are going to dig up little boy bush? The arrogant little piss ant (along with a crony or two) that nearly destroyed the U.S.?

My way or the highway. You betcha Georgie! Just stay in your bright, white, sunny, rubber room and keep painting.

The Obama administration, to answer your last question. It's looking into adopting the Bush method of handling torture.

Yes it's a complicated position to run the free world isn't it. Life is not black and white. Obama is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Unlike Bush, he consults with lawyers and tries to approach the distasteful side of leadership with a legal president.

A simple explanation of a complicated issue:

The men in Guantanamo have been proven innocent but now they have no where to go because their reputations have been besmirched and their own countries won't take them back. Never mind due process, which Obama tried to deliver but the screaming of the right fomented so much antagonism against, once again, to reiterate, proven to be innocent men, that he can't simply release them.

This has to be a joke. Look at the pictures. They highlight ever failed moment of Bush's stay in the WH.

"W" - who was never elected by the people. Supreme Court illegally appointed him President in 2000; Rove's computer gurus stole Ohio and the election in 2004.

  7. Or we could bring back the Halcion days of George H. W. Bush, when his reaction to taking a great deal of the sleep aid while traveling to Asia prompted him to vomit into the lap of the Japanese foreign minister while attending--briefly--a formal dinner.

    No, thank you.

It's gotta be lead poisoning. Or fluoride. Maybe inside Dem moles? I just can't understand how they can look back at the tenure of GW Bush and say "those were the good old days"? Really? Wow. Just wow. But hey, don't let me stop them...

Maybe the idea is to whitewash the Bush years in preparation for Jeb to take a seat in the 2016 clown car.

GW is why the McCain/Plain ticket caused many sleepless nights. My mantra in 2000 & 2004 was, "there can't be THAT many stupid Americans." And, knowing he stole elections only made me worry that McCain/Palin could end up in the White House @ 1400 Penn. Ave. Hoohah!
