Close family friend, and political donor, confirms that Hillary Clinton WILL run for President in 2016.

Courtesy of USA Greek Reporter:

Angelo Tsakopoulos, a close friend and top political donor to the Clintons as well as the Democratic Party, confirmed that Hillary Clinton will seek the Democratic nomination in the next Presidential election.

Tsakopoulos told Greek Reporter that the former Secretary of State will run for President in 2016, putting an end to speculation over whether Clinton will make a second bid for President that has been circulating around the internet and international media.

“Hillary will be our next President and she will be a great one,” Tsakopoulos told Greek Reporter at a private gala in California this past weekend.

Asked if this was confirmed by Clinton or whether it’s his personal view, he replied, “I talk to her husband, and he confirmed it. She will run.”

I really think most people already assume this is the case, though there are some, many even on the Democratic side, who refuse to accept it.

To me the most obvious example was the launching of Hillary's new rather subdued campaign website. That and the fact that the Obama supporters raised money to pay off her old campaign debt.

I know there are some who have raised concerns about running Hillary in 2016 but I am not one of them.

The WORST thing that can happen to this country in 2016 is for the presidency to fall back into the hands of the Republicans, Having Hillary run almost ensures a victory for Democrats.

That to me takes precedence over any doubts or concerns I may have.

The only way to make more progress is to have a progressive leading the way, and Hillary certainly qualifies as that.

Let's hope the Hillary v. Sarah meme is put to bed immediately. It's so ludicrous it's almost lunatic:

Hillary -- Wellesley College -- graduation speaker; Yale Law School; First Lady; U.S. Senator from New York (a big and populous state) for eight years; Secretary of State of the United States for four years, travelling to more than 100 countries. Tough, smart, eloquent. Mother of daughter who graduated from Stanford and studied at Oxford University. Most admired woman in the country.

Sarah -- dubious college degree after scratching around for some sort of diploma at five different schools; Wasilla mayor (population of city often smaller than large school districts in other states); quit appointment on Energy Board; defeated at Vice Presidential nominee; quit job as governor; fired from job at Fox News Thin-skinned, dumb, loud-mouthed whiner. Now: unemployed and unemployable. Has travelled to fewer than ten countries in her life. Mother of five -- three grown children, none of whom completed high school or has any interest in or qualifications for higher education. Admired by tiny group of fanatics who believe she's a saint.

Which one should be considered as the leader of the free world and Commander in Chief of our great country? Even to posit the question is crazy.

Oh, I don't know. There is a sadistic side to my personality. I would dearly LOVE to see that ignorant skank in a one on one debate with Hillary!

Besides, it would mean a couple of things: A totally destroyed Repube Party and a guaranteed win for Hillary.

Why would the Repubes be totally destroyed? Because they would have to be if nobody else was a better candidate. I think I don't have to say why it's a guaranteed win for Hillary? Do I?

Report: FreedomWorks Made Video Depicting Sexual Act Between Hillary Clinton And A Panda

Last year, the tea party-affiliated group FreedomWorks recorded a promotional video that featured a fake panda performing oral sex on a woman impersonating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to a report published Thursday by Mother Jones' David Corn.

Two female interns were chosen to participate in the video, according to the report, one wearing the panda suit and the other dressed as Clinton. The video was created ahead of the group's FreePAC conference, which was held in late July 2012, and it was intended to be shown at the event.

More from Corn on the video:

It's gonna get ugly when she runs, and that makes me sad and livid at the same time.

"Hilary Clinton deserves to be SODOMIZED WITH A BAYONET AND SHOT IN THE HEAD because that is what she had done to General Ghaddafy, the lawful ruler of a Sovereign Nation which did not attack America."

I really don't know if I can handle how ugly our country is getting. But just as Obama's election has turned the light on to the racists, Clinton's will shine it right onto the woman haters and that would be a good thing.

In one segment of the film, according to a former official who saw it, Brandon is seen waking from a nap at his desk. In what appears to be a dream or a nightmare, he wanders down a hallway and spots a giant panda on its knees with its head in the lap of a seated Hillary Clinton and apparently performing oral sex on the then-secretary of state. Two female interns at FreedomWorks were recruited to play the panda and Clinton. One intern wore a Hillary Clinton mask. The other wore a giant panda suit that FreedomWorks had used at protests to denounce progressives as panderers. (See here, here, and here.) Placing the panda in the video, a former FreedomWorks staffer says, was "an inside joke."

Another FreedomWorks staffer who worked there at the time confirms that "Yes, this video was created."

Days before the FreePAC event, the video was screened for staff. "My mouth was wide open," a former official recalls. "'What the hell is this?'" Several FreedomWorks staffers were outraged and stunned that Brandon, the group's second-in-command after Kibbe, had overseen the video's production, appeared in it, and intended to show this film at the conference, which would be attended by many social-conservative activists.

Later, The Daily Show host broke down Rubio’s speech. He used clips of Rubio attacking Obama to illustrate the lesson that Republicans have not learned from their Romney/Ryan defeat last year. Jon Stewart diagnosed the GOP’s problem, “I see the problem. Once again, rather than responding to actual Obama, Republicans are stuck responding to the fictional image of Obama that they’ve created. The same boilerplate Republican talking points, just with a better back story…So Republicans, as you’re feeling around for a new strategy, a little tip. If Paul Ryan didn’t work, Pablo Ryal, isn’t going to help.”

Jon Stewart summed up what the left has been saying since the failure of Sarah Palin. Republicans refuse to get it. The problem isn’t the messenger. It’s the message. Modern Republicans have taken the completely wrong lesson from the election of Ronald Reagan. It wasn’t Reagan’s presence alone that twice won him election. It was the fact that he never tilted as ideologically hard right as the Republican Party is today. If he were a candidate today, Ronald Reagan would be considered too liberal by many rank and file Republicans.

Republicans can try to put a Sarah Palin face on it, an Eric Cantor face on it, a Paul Ryan face on it, or a Marco Rubio face on it, and it won’t work.

The Republican car has broken down along the side of the road, and they are convinced that the fix is a new paint job when it obvious to everyone that their engine has blown up.

Come on, folks, how's about we quit attaching this amazing woman to her spouse?
If we have learned anything about Hillary over the past 20 years, we have learned that we should NOT ask her husband what she's going to do or when she's going to do it. We should ask THE WOMAN HERSELF.
    But otherwise, hurray!!!!

That is wonderful news! I was torn between Obama and Hillary during the 2008 primaries. She would make one hellava President and leave it to the Democrats to elect our first African-American President and our first woman President. Hillary is much respected and admired. She's got so much experience and seeing how well she did in the Benghazi hearings I know she'll handle those RWNJ's with grace. Let's not forget she's been dealing with those nut jobs since she was FLOTUS.

While I am very glad to hear it, I think the news should have been contained for another two years. Four years is way too much time to allow the opposition to gather ammunition.

One should *never* give the opposition notice of intent. Surprise is the best tactic even if there is a suspicion of high probability.

Hey Balz. I'm not too sure about that. From the way I see it, if they start on her NOW, the country will be tired of the same old shit when it gets down to the real race and it will "stick" less easily.

Right now she is free to make as many speeches as she wants, as they are free to attack her. I see it as an opportunity for her to begin destroying them NOW!

Of course, there are those who won't give a DAMN about the things she says as retaliation, because they won't believe anybody except shits like Rove. But we knew that last year!

They can attack all they want, as far as I'm concerned. The thing is that with people who are well known like Hillary, everyone had pretty much already made up their minds about her. No one is going to change their mind about her at this point.

People's minds CAN be changed about Rubio, though.

Don't forget, the right already had their campaign of destruction fired up and ready five years ago just in case she won the 2008 primary.

Her approval ratings and recognition factor have only increased substantially since then so the GOP will face a significantly more formidable foe than they would have back then.

They failed miserably at crushing her with Benghazi and, since she's no longer in an official position of political power, there will be very few opportunities for a misstep on her part between now and 2016.

I suspect that the GOP is getting ready to order massive quantities of Depends in anticipation of this potential opponent!

Sarah Palin will never run for president. If she makes it another three years without being indicted, all the skeletons in her closet will stop her. Oh, she'll string along her diminishing fan base, and they will continue to send her money, but she'll never actually run.

And if the law and her skeletons don't stop her, the fact that she is a public joke and entirely out of her league will make any Sarah Palin campaign a sad and hilarious joke.

Right...she was never going to run in 2012, period. She knew that, Todd knew that...but they strung along her fan base in order to keep her name out there and the money coming into her PAC.

I can't for the life of me understand how her base keeps donating to her. How much of these donations does she actually turn around and donate to her chosen candidates? Not that much. She'd rather show up courtesy of the candidate, jump onto a stage and babble incoherently with her usual word-salad mangled talking points than actually donate money to them. That way, it doesn't cost the PAC and she gets her picture taken.

She done nothing but cock tease them for 4 years now. Are they really that stupid and neanderthal-like?? They seriously cannot see through this vile woman???

      Delete
    3. She won't run for at least two reasons.

      1) Nobody will be asking her to run because no one cares any more, so she will not have the extremely demanding ground operation and fundraising machinery in place necessary for a presidential campaign.

      2) She will not put herself through the competitive process of the primaries. She will not allow herself to be put in a position of having to stand alongside other candidates, all equals, and then be questioned and criticized by them. Her ego won't let her. She was spoiled by the McCain campaign plucking her out of Alaska and plopping her at the top from day 1 with everyone else doing all the work and being thoroughly beneath Her Highness.

      Oh, and she's lazy.
